RisingStars Metro Manila Showdown This Sunday

The newest talent search to hit the Philippines is now looking for its representatives from Metro Manila! The RisingStars auditions in the metro was held last January 14 to 22. The best 50 singers with the most votes were invited to a Screening Round held on January 29 at Trinoma Mall.

The selected contestants went through on a live interview and auditioning in front of the Panel of Judges. Based on the interviews and live auditions, the numbers of contestants was narrowed down to 16 by the Judges.

This sixteen (16) singers will have their chance to prove their talents live, on-stage at

RISINGSTARS’ MALL SHOW LIVE COMPETITION
hosted by OGIE ALCASID and VENUS RAJ

Sunday, the 1st of February at 5pm in
QUEZON CITY TRINOMA MALL, ACTIVITY CENTER.

The mall show live final competition will be composed of two rounds: the first round is the “I can sing it better – Battle Round” and the second round is the “Solo and Final Round”.

One day before the live finals, the top 16 contestants will be divided into eight (8) groups to which two contestants will be paired to sing the same song. So on the “I can sing it better – Battle Round” of the live finals, two contestants battle head-to-head onstage to prove that they can really sing the song better than the other. Even though the contestants are singing in pairs, they are judged individually on their performance.

At the end of the Battle round only the top 5 advance to the solo and final round. Here each contestant will perform the song of their choice. The top 2 winners of this live competition will get the chance to be part of the nationwide competition and be seen on primetime TV during the live sing-offs and telecast of the RisingStars Singing Contest to be aired on the Kapatid Network TV5.

It will be a big show with some of the best and newest STARS from TV5: Danica Sotto Pingris, Rr Enriquez, Jeck Maeirhofer, Lj Moreno-Alapag will be on stage from Happy Wife Happy Life, which is TV5’s new show about the beautiful housewives of Philippine's Basketball Stars.  The audience can also see the  hottest young stars of Tv5:  Tuesday Vargas,  Wendell Ramos, Sophie Albert, Mark Neumann, Shaira Mae, Nicole Estrada, Chanel Morales, Malak So, Marvelous Manzano, Alberto Bruno from the station's Banner Gag Show  „Tropa Mo Ko Nice Di Ba”  headed By Ogie Alcasid.

Gelli De Belen will be also at Trinoma’s stage introducing Solved Na Solved, Tv5's Newest Talk Show that answers your questions about money matters and legal problems, and Empoy as well from Mac And Chiz, Tv5's Newest Sitcom Where Empoy Plays The Babe Magnet Twin Brother Of A Shy Derek Ramsay.
